Get a Wedding Cake or an IPod at Brothers Caterers
If you’re getting married, one of the most fun parts of planning your wedding will be choosing your wedding cake. If you need help contact us at www.brotherscaterers.com to help you make the best choice. There is more to this than just going to a baker and looking through a selection of different types and styles of cakes however. When you are buying or ordering your wedding cake, there are different things that you had to consider. Something that happened to my sister-in-law taught me this very lesson. I didn’t have any problems with my cake, but she had a huge one with hers.
There are many different types of wedding cake for which to choose. This means that you not only have to think about what flavor of cake you want, you also have to think about the decorations and other things. Today many wedding cakes can come with different fillings, and different things hidden underneath the icing. This might make choosing your wedding cake more fun, but also makes it a little more risky. If you don’t know what you are getting into, and your baker doesn’t warn you, you may end up with a big mess on your hands and a lot of disappointment.
The wedding cake that my sister-in-law chose had a chocolate shell underneath the icing. Her baker did not tell her to keep the cake out of the refrigerator. Once she had the wedding cake in her hands she should have left it out at room temperature. However, she did not know this, and she put her cake in a refrigerator overnight. When the cake was left sitting out at the reception, condensation formed as the cake warmed up, and the icing began to slide off of the chocolate shell. By the time it was time to cut the wedding cake, it was a pretty sad sight indeed.
If you go with a baker to have your wedding cake made, make sure you ask them about any specific instructions that may come with a particular cake that you choose. You don’t want to have the same problem with your wedding cake that my sister-in-law did. Even though she is very easy going, it did put a damper on her day. You only have one wedding day, at least you can hope, and you don’t want something to happen to your wedding cake. If it does though, make sure you take it with good humor and don’t let it spoil your day. No matter what may happen to the outside of your wedding cake, it all tastes the same. For more information about a drawing for a f=r=e=e wedding cake or ipod write to Chef Hans and mention your name, your spouse to be name, date of the wedding and location chefhans@brotherscaterers.com
